Monday, 29 August 2011 10:18
PYFestival_FP_YV
The ProgYes festival 2011 was a big success with an enthusiastic audience being treated to 5 hours of music. Tim Hunter opened the festival with a solo performance featuring material from his forthcoming album. He was then joined by the friends, Jaydee Nevison and Paul Burton, to deliver the final performance of 'The Pathway of Light' 2011 summer tour. The set featured stage favourites like 'Psychic Voyager' and 'Back to The Sunshine' . Then, Paul Burton's own band ' Just Messin' delivered a magificent set of superb Blues Rock. Finally, the ace Yes tribute band SeyeS took the stage and delighted fans with versions of 'Yours Is No Disgrace', 'Wondrous Stories' and many more, all perfectly delivered in an authentic 1970s Yes style. Everyone enjoyed this festival and thanks to eveyone who attended and helped. Let's hope next year's festival is bigger and even better!

The festival is being held in the beautiful, historic countryside town of Knaresborough in North Yorkshire. It’s worth considering visiting the area as part of a holiday. We are 15 miles from Leeds/Bradford Airport and only 18 Miles from the historic city of York. On the North Yorkshire coast is Whitby, the place which provided the inspiration for Dracula and which was the home of Captain Cook.
