Tim Hunter - October 31st

An acoustic evening with the singer/songwriter and new media artist Tim Hunter. The concert will include performances of many of his famous songs, readings and interesting chat. Also features special guest musicians on the second half of the show (9:15 - 10:15). Goths welcome!

The third Yorview Rock night saw The Tangent appearing on Sunday 22nd August, at 7:30pm at Henshaw's Arts and Crafts Centre as part of the 2010 Knaresborough Feva festival.

The Tangent's 2009 album 'Down and out in Paris and London' was voted into the top ten of the Dutch Progressive Rock Society's 'Album of the Year'. Tickets will be available priced £10 (£9 concessions) from the Feva Box office (details available in July). Full review here.

YORVIEW Live was launched on Sunday 28th March 2010 7:30pm at Henshaw's Knaresborough with 'Parallel or 90 degrees'.

Led by keyboard player Andy Tillison, Po90 have been described as '..somewhere between thrash, punk, synth-rock and even funky-jazz with huge, vaulting soundscapes and massive production led by Mr Tillson’s keys and stun guitar lines.' You were definitely taking the right musical direction if you were present at Henshaws on the warm summer evening of Sunday 22nd August. This was the final night of yet another highly successful Knaresborough Feva festival, which saw world class prog rockers ‘The Tangent’ playing to an enthusiastic audience at the excellent Henshaws centre. This was, of course, the third, and possibly the best yet of the ‘Yorview’ series of rock concerts. Read more...

SeYeS: The audience says Yes !

SeYeS Sunday 27th June, Henshaw's Arts and Crafts Centre, Knaresborough Yes Tribute band SeYeS delivered a storming 2 hour plus performance to an appreciative and enthusiastic audience yesterday evening at the second Yorview Rock Club evening. On a warm summer's evening, fans of 1970s progressive music were able to sit and have a cool beer, listen to excellent music and forget about the afternoon's disappointing England performance. Firstly, the audience were treated to the mellow sounds of the Northern Soundscapes trio for a short 25 minute set. Then we heard the familiar sounds of the ‘Firebird Suite’, used to open Yes's 1970's shows and SeYeS launched into 'Siberian Khatru' (with the awesome guitar riff delivered perfectly by Tim Lockyer). We then heard such classics as 'Close To The Edge', 'Heart of the Sunrise' all sung extremely well, in an authentic Jon Anderson style, by vocalist Phil Bernia, before the band took a break.
