July Update : Part One PDF Print E-mail
Loads of news:
Stop Press: have you seen the brilliant Yorview rock club write up this week (16/7/10) in the Harrogate Advertiser?
Firstly, we've finally broken the 1000 barrier for plays of 'Life In A Traffic Jam'. We're now rehearsing for the August 22nd support slot. It looks like we're outgrowing the support concept fast as we are hoping to have a full line up very soon.

As you can see from the review, the SeYeS gig was sensational, it's just a shame more people didn't turn up.
I have started to wonder if it might be better (for gigs inside Henshaw's) to just have the band’s backline (which is often exceptionally good) plus live drums and then just have a basic vocal PA. However, there WILL be full PA and lighting for The Tangent on August 22nd.

I managed to get rid of some sinus/respiratory problems which slowed me down for a few days. I'm sure there's something in the air this summer (either ashcloud dust or large amounts of pollen).
Northern Soundscapes have been practising for the SeYeS support set in the newly completed Yorview rehearsal suite. 'Life In a Traffic Jam' currently has 923 views on You Tube.
I have just about finished SeYeS leafleting; I'll probably nip up to Ripon next week. There may be some prog rock fans there.

I am now stepping up SeYeS promotion. I was in York on Wednesday delivering posters to my usual outlets. Thank you all shops cafes etc. who have agreed to put posters up. It was a beautiful day and me and the missus had a nice meal at a wonderful cafe on Gillygate. I will be leafleting Leeds next week.

Breaking news: is that Northern Soundscapes are back on top of the 7 Digital charts and ‘Vive Para Hoy’ (the Spanish version of ‘Live for the Day’) has finally been released.

Finally, the way things are going, 'Life In A Traffic Jam' might even break the 900 views barrier by the end of the month.

See you soon. Tim
